Celler de Capçanes, founded in 1933, is celebrating its ninetieth anniversary this year, and we’re celebrating by inviting all members and winegrowers to a fraternity lunch at Mas Gallau, in Cambrils.
President Lluís Molina addresses a few words to all the guests:
“It is with great honor that I address you today to provide a concise overview of the remarkable 90-year journey of Celler de Capçanes.
On this auspicious occasion, we gather to celebrate the ninetieth anniversary of our winery, a day in 1933 that marked the beginning of a trajectory which, undoubtedly, surpassed the expectations of its time. We take immense pride in being a part of this esteemed organization, while also paying tribute to those who came before us, whose tireless efforts and dedication have brought us to this momentous milestone.
Throughout this extensive journey, we have encountered a civil war, endured the aftermath of a post-war social and economic recession, weathered numerous economic crises, confronted a pandemic, and faced an array of challenges that were triumphantly overcome through unity and unwavering determination.
These 90 years have demonstrated that there are no shortcuts to success. Nevertheless, we have persevered and achieved our objective of producing exceptional wines, thanks to a highly skilled workforce and state-of-the-art facilities that enable us to export our wines to every corner of the globe.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to:
- All our partners, whose unwavering commitment and daily endeavors have contributed to the creation of an exceptional product.
- The Board of Directors, whose unwavering support has guided us in making crucial decisions.
- Mr. Joan Mª Sabaté, our esteemed Managing Director, who exemplifies the compatibility of being an outstanding professional and a person of integrity.
- Our production management team, whose dedication has propelled our wines to numerous accolades and distinctions.
- The entire staff, whose diligent efforts on a daily basis allow us to achieve the targets we set for ourselves.
- Our auditor, Mr. Jordi Llevat, whose unwavering support has been invaluable throughout the years.
- Ms. Pilar Just, the President of DO Montsant, who continuously seeks ways to promote and enhance our wines.
- Mayor Lluís del Arca of Capçanes, whose unwavering support has been instrumental to our success.
We must recognize that there are no better or worse times, merely different times. As the renowned writer Mario Benedetti once said, “Because every day is a new beginning, and this very moment is the best moment.”
Only those who believe that dreams can conquer any circumstances can truly achieve their aspirations.
Today, as we celebrate the winery’s 90th anniversary, we reflect upon past accomplishments, envision new goals for the future, and reaffirm our commitment to persistently strive for a better tomorrow, surpassing the achievements of each preceding day.
We genuinely believe that the best is yet to come, understanding that our collective efforts play a significant role in shaping our future. Therefore, we must continue to honor the commitments we have made over the years.
As we raise our glasses, let us fondly remember all that has transpired and dream of the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
We always maintain an optimistic outlook while remaining prepared for any challenges that may come our way.
