MULTISENSORY TALES OF THE WINE WORLD

The project uses a multisensory approach to art to capture the sense of wine through a variety of artistic disciplines that make use of different sensory channel: literature, visual arts and music using the senses of sight and hearing; the process ends with the tasting of the wines used in the project and the bouquet and aroma of each wine brings the sensory cycle of each tale to an end.

CABRIDA 2008 tasted by the sommeliers of Can Jubany

Cabrida 2008

Red wine. Bigarreau cherry red, clean and bright with a medium robe. It has long-lasting lively legs.
At first, you get ripe red fruit with hints of pine oil, mint and dried herbs with a mineral backdrop. There is also a hint of fruit macerated in spirits.
On the palate, this wine is mouth-watering, dominated by an initial taste explosion of fruit, together with touches of dried Mediterranean herbs which were already apparent on the nose as well as honest mineral tones. This fruit is harmoniously integrated with its time in barrel.

Ripe blackcurrant coloured red wine with a dark red medium robe. Clean and light in the glass with good legs. An initial reading recalls a fresh, complex red wine.

New image for Costers del Gravet and Vall del Calàs

The labels now include original texts related to ownership of the vineyards, dating back to before the phylloxera plague. These documents have been found by cooperative members at home amongst their personal papers. Not everyone can say that they still have the original deeds to their property in their possession. After a long search for “old papers” and after having selected the ones that were still legible and did not turn to dust in our fingers, we have been able to put these centenary documents on show.

Capçanes successful yet again in Germany

We have started the year very well with a tour around Germany. We have offered numerous tastings of our range of wines in Dortmund, Stuttgart, Offenburg and Essen. To name just one, we would like to mention the Wein Festival which was held on Saturday, 28th January in Schloss Hugenpoet. Together with 35 internationally acclaimed wineries, we presented our wines in a unique setting, one of the Leading Small Hotels of the World!

Rotary Club organises its first meeting in 2012 at Celler de Capçanes

Promoted by the rotary members of Tarragona Club, last saturday they celebrated the annual meeting at Celler de Capçanes to talk about all the events and actions done during last year. Due to the excellent relationship between Rotary Tarragona and our winery, they choose us to enjoy a beautiful day and visit our barrel´s room and the kosher area, as well.
