Nota de cata:

Color cereza picota intenso; Estamos ante un vino realmente complejo, con aromas de fruta madura, cacao, hierbas balsámicas, menta... un carácter decididamente elegante, con cuerpo, muy equilibrado y de excelente acidez. Una pieza de arte.

Maridaje: 

Desde una tabla de quesos hasta el solomillo más sofisticado. Sin duda, él es el protagonista....

Variedades: 

100% Garnacha de cepas viejas (80-95 años)

Fermentación con temperatura controlada (24-28ºC)
Maceración: 28 días;
Inicio de la fermentación maloláctica en tanque y finalización en barrica
Suave filtrado

12 meses en barricas francesas nuevas (228l);
Tostado medio y ligero
Envejecimiento posterior en tanque durante 3 meses antes de embotellar

Edad de las cepas: 80-95 años de Garnacha vieja, a una altitud de 500 m.

  • Cabrida 2009;  88.5p: AL - Medium deep ruby; rather restrained nose of wood, spices, red and dark berries; quite structured and firm palate with young tannin, restrained fruit, some woody notes and a long, tight finish. MdM - Dark, purple red with violet hue and almost black centre. Ripe aromas, spicy and slightly mineral touch with juicy fruit. On the palate well balanced with well integrated tannins and juicy character.

Juicy, clear, slightly jammy fruit on the palate, very fine, mature tannins, delicate acid bite, powerful but also harmonious, elegant herbaceous notes, prominent mineral notes in the background, good persistence and has some depth, very creamy, slightly astringent on a very good finish.
