{"id":16136,"date":"2023-04-06T10:59:06","date_gmt":"2023-04-06T08:59:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cellercapcanes.com\/?p=16136"},"modified":"2023-04-06T10:59:06","modified_gmt":"2023-04-06T08:59:06","slug":"international-recognition-for-mas-torto-organic-wine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cellercapcanes.com\/en\/2023\/04\/06\/international-recognition-for-mas-torto-organic-wine\/","title":{"rendered":"International recognition for Mas Tort\u00f3 organic wine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mas Tort\u00f3 is a very special wine from Celler de Cap\u00e7anes, made with grapes from very old vines and from 100% organic farming, which has also been <strong>certified<\/strong> by the CCPAE organization.<\/p>\n<p>Cap\u00e7anes moves towards organic (certified!) farming step by step, using <strong>techniques that respect<\/strong> organisms and biodiversity in the field, such as the use of pheromones that confuse males and naturally prevent the reproduction of different types of pests, completely avoiding the use of insecticides.<\/p>\n<p>The use of herbicides and fungicides is also avoided, and only indispensable phytosanitary products of mineral origin are used, such as copper or sulfur (which are not absorbed by the plant) and which are the only effective treatment against well-known <em>mildew<\/em> fungus.<\/p>\n<p>The work and effort behind the Mas Tort\u00f3 2021 wine has been recognized;<strong> Mas Tort\u00f3 receives a Gold Medal<\/strong> at the prestigious <strong>International Organic Award 2023<\/strong> competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coupage 2021: 35% Cari\u00f1ena+ 35% Cabernet Sauvignon + 30% Garnacha<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This blend is so characteristic of Priorat and Montsant and makes Mas Tort\u00f3 a wine with a good body and high aromatic intensity, with a fine tannin but well present in the mouth, balanced with notes of ripe fruit and a sweet touch of vanilla and chocolate from the aging in barrels.
