“Flüssiges Gold von Paula Bosch”, Genuss, Set 2012: Germany: Pansal del Calàs... a new star in the Spain sweet wine’s history… Celler de Capçanes, nowadays the best cooperative in Spain…
"Yossie's Corkboard", May 2012: This week’s newsletter discusses one of my all-time favorite wineries – Capcanes of Spain. Despite much love for this delightful winery, having enjoyed its kosher vintages starting with 1998; I have never dedicated a newsletter to the winery and its history. While many acclaimed non-kosher vineyards around the world make kosher cuvees of certain wines in limited runs, Capcanes is unique in that it was its kosher cuvee that initially put it on the map. Located in the village of Capcanes in Spain’s Montsant region a close neighbor of Spain’s famed Priorat, the Capcanes winery was founded as a cooperative by five local wine-growing families in 1933.
"Juan Fernádez- Cuesta", Diario ABC, Mayo, 2012, Spain : Vino kosher, pura belleza.

90 puntos

“Decanter – Best Wine Ever…”, /England: “Tim Atkin: … over the years, I´ve been fortunate to taste many of the world´s most famous wines. …But the most enjoyable bottle I´ve ever drunk was the 1996 Cabrida …wine doesn´t have to be famous or ludicrously expensive, to taste great.”
”Jancis Robinson, Julia Hardong: www.jancisrobinson.com ”, may/2009: "Mas Collet 2005…My choice this week is an indication of the outstanding consistency of quality and value for money represented by the wines from Celler Capçanes, …similar in style to those of Priorat but generally at lower prices. .. this wine stood out for its combination of intense, sweet dark fruit, firm structure and lovely freshness. But it's far more than a fruit bomb; there's a savoury sour cherry tang on the finish and the slight sweetness added by the oak spice morphs into a more complex meaty flavour on the palate, thanks to the extra time this wine has been allowed in bottle - unusual for a wine at this price. This is seriously good value for money."
”Jancis Robinson ”, England:
- "…I've been meaning to spotlight this exceptional Catalan producer in the hills above Tarragona for ages. Those who have come across its compact, well-made reds will already know their signature …, at such a low price. ..you can taste the same sort of earthy minerality as is evident in all good red Priorat….is very intense, ripe and full…"
- "Celler de Capçanes:…is this marvellous producer. ….Think of Celler de Capçanes reds as poor man´s Priorat in an unusual array of styles and none the worse for it….Mas Collet … The beauty of this wine is that it is not like any other. … Costers del Gravet…Mas Donis…All these are wines to be chewed rather than gulped…"

- One of Spain´s finest co-operatives…it is also among the best in Europe. Flor de Primavera – kosher – has evolved into a splendid blend and the range of reds here is now extensive and very impressive… Among the best wines are two ripe, berry- fruited styles, Mas Collet and Mas Donís, both having a big dollop of Garnacha.
- …Mas Tortó and Cabrida, are both massively extracted, dense and powerful reds…very impressive and ageworthly.
- All of the wines offer excellent value for money.
