Mas Collet White

Tasting note:

Bright and lively, with light yellow-golden nuances ; medium to full-bodied; lovely creamy, peach, pear, vanilia flavors, apple and herbs and floral. Fine and subte oak aromas of  coffee, trufle and  toast ; hint of spices, all perfectly integrated; great mouth structure; with long finish,

Food pairing: 

Combines very well with fatty fish like salmon, or fish sauce, "bacalao al pil pil", rice, ...

Grape varieties: 

80% Garnacha blanca
20% Macabeu

Temperature controlled fermentation (8-16ºC)
Both varieties were vinified separately in stainless steel tanks

6 months aged in new up to five years old  french oak barriques
light and medium toasted. 
sur lie in oak barrels for 3 months.
after blending aged for 2 months in tank before bottling

Garnacha, Macabeu: up to 45 years old vines
Soil in the lower vineyards is alluvial while the higher vineyards and all terraces and slopes are on poor, mineral, stony soil based with some granite and slate.
